How much does it cost to remove a pond?
Moving into a new home with a pond that you need removing? Is the pond unsafe for your children or pets? Whatever the reason we have a few things to consider before diving in.
Firstly, how large and well-established the pond is. You’ll need to think about relocating wildlife, migrating or disposing of plans and draining the water from the pond. Then, filling the hole left by the pond and deciding what to do with the space.
How long does it take to remove a pond?
It can take a couple of days to remove a large, established pond, or if you’re removing the pond yourself. However, smaller ponds may be able to be removed in less than a day.
1. Remove all plants and fish from the pond.
2. Remove any pumps or filters attached to the pond.
3. Empty the water out of the pond with a bucket.
4. Remove any other objects from inside the pond, e.g. decor.
What should I do with the new space where the pond once was?
After making sure you sort out any drainage issues first once the draining is resolved the options are limitless from a patio area, vegetable garden, sitting area or maybe a different sized pond.
